Bea

Bea moved to Ithaca “for 6 months” in 2003.  She is honored to be a Board Member and happily shares support for the good work of Southside Community Center. She has served for over 20 years in direct service and management roles at economic development organizations, leading to her current role as Development Director at Alternatives Federal Credit Union, a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). In this role, she’s focused on grant writing & management, data analysis, project management, strategic planning, and coordinating efforts on a mission focused team to amplify impacts and bring positive change to our shared communities. She’s grateful for opportunities to use her words and actions to counteract the ways that inequality is baked into the mainstream financial industry and into our society as a whole.  As a massage therapist, yoga instructor, and health enthusiast, she supports individuals in facing health challenges and taking steps to attain their health and wellness goals.  She loves the Ithaca life and lives with her partner Keith and their kitty Rhea.
