Chavon Bunch

Mrs. Chavon Bunch, a native of Ithaca, is the daughter of Marcia Baum, the granddaughter of Dr. Donald and Jennie Graham, all of whom have dedicated their lives to serving the Ithaca community for nearly five decades. Mrs. Bunch is not only committed to Southside Community Center and its mission but also embodies the continuation of dynamic community service and programming.

Southside Community Center’s offerings encompass a wide range of services, including youth and educational programs, a food pantry, pet care clinics, bicycle services, performing arts, health education, political and Black consciousness teachings. Additionally, the center hosts important culturally significant events and celebrations that honor the lives of Black individuals throughout history, the present, and the future.



Under Mrs. Bunch’s leadership, Southside Community Center has become a beacon of stability and excitement. Her dynamic directorship and unwavering advocacy have inspired staff, board members, volunteers, program participants, and the broader community.
