Leon Holden

Leon Holden is a Brooklyn-born, Ithaca-based community leader and certified HR professional (SHRM-CP) with a B.A. in Political Science from Brooklyn College. With over a decade of experience in grassroots organizing, equity advocacy, and nonprofit leadership, he serves on seven boards across Tompkins County, including the Diversity Consortium (as President), Southside Community Center, and Foodnet Meals on Wheels.


Leon is deeply committed to dismantling systemic inequities and uplifting marginalized communities. His work is shaped by extensive cultural immersion—through travel across 27 U.S. states, time spent abroad in Europe, Central America, and the Caribbean, and 18 months living in Puerto Rico during the COVID-19 pandemic.


Known for meeting people where they are, Leon fosters meaningful, inclusive connections that support sustainable, community-driven change.
